Top things to do in Guilin
Guilin is a city in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,China. The city has long been renowned for its scenery of Karst topogrephy and is one of the China's most popular tourist destinations.There are many scenic places within short traveling distance of Guilin,such as Longsheng with its famouse Longji terrances,the Li River, Yangshuo which is a small county downstream from Guilin,etc. This makes Guilin an Excellent base for exploring the northern end of Guangxi Province.  

Reed Flute Cave

The Reed Flute Cave is known as "the Palace of Natural Arts" ,about 5km away from the center of the city. It is a landmark and one of the most extraordinary scenic spots in Guilin,Guangxi. According to a legend,Reed Flute Cave got its name because people believed that the reed by the cave's mouth could be made into flutes.It is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations in weired and wonderful shapes,stone pillars,stone curtains,birds,plants and animals,etc.,all glistening in colorful lights.Tourist began to visit here in the Tang Dynasty.There are 77 stone inscriptions covering many years of history.

Li River cruise

The Li River or Lijiang is a river in Guangxi Zhuang Automous Region, China. It flows 83 km from Guilin to  Yangshuo.  As the saying goes'Guilin has the best scenery in China'. Actually, the beautiful landscape especially includes the unique mountains and picturesque rivers. Guilin scenery is so famous and reputable,in most of case due to the amazing Li River. A Li Rover cruise is normally refferred to a boat  cruise along the river. It takes approximately 4 hours passing the 83 km waterway from Guilin City to Yangshuo County. Along the 80-kilometer riverbank are lots of important attractions, such as Elenphant-Trunk Hill, Hencoop Hill,Saddle Hill, Yellow Cloth Shoal,etc. All the attractions are made more beautiful by their mirrored reflection on the peaceful water of the river.

Yulong River Bamboo Rafting in Yangshuo

YuLong River is a picturesque tributary of Li River in the countryside of Yangshuo.'Yulong' means 'meeting dragon'.There is a beautiful legend. It was said that there is a dragon came to the Yulong river long time ago. Because the scenery around the river is so amazing and breath-taking, the dragon won't leave. He would like to stay in the river. One day,he was met by the villagers and hence the name. Bamboo rafting on Yulong river is the travel highligh in the trip to Yangshuo. Lying down on the chair,looking at the water bufffalo walking on the bank and smelling the fragrance of the rice in the fields nearby,you will forget all of the hassles.
