My husband and I were fortunate to spend four days with Violet in Beijing during our 23 day trip to China.* From the moment we met her at our hotel (she was waiting there when we arrived) until she and Kong Lin brought us into the airport terminal for our next flight, Violet took enormous care of us. I had asked her to use public transportation as much as possible and had listed the sights I wished to see and the restaurants I wanted to visit. Violet handled everything including reservations and bargaining with vendors when requested. She took me to the famous dirt market (we left the husbands home!), the Silk Market and the Pearl Market and brought me to her favorite stalls. She helped me figure out what the proper going rate would be so I didn't over-pay anyone. She and Kong Lin took us to the Great Wall by car (we had a great day and very much enjoyed the restaurant they selected for our lunch), and she took us to all the major sights in the city using the subway, bus, and walking. I asked her to make reservations for DaDong and she and Kong Lin took us there in their car since it was on their way home. 

It has been several years since our trip, and Violet is still our friend. They sent photographs of their wedding and remember us at holiday time. I have recently recommended Violet to friends who will visit China this summer because I know she will take great care of them and help them have a memorable experience in Beijing. I am very happy to give her my highest recommendation.
